The Perfect Storm
They say there’s calm at the eye of the storm. But out on the leading edge, things get interesting. That’s the idea behind the latest iteration of Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design, dubbed “Storm Edge.” It gives the Santa Fe style that exhibits the power and strength of nature.
Power Tailgate
Make schlepping less daunting. Loading and unloading your Santa Fe starts and ends with this convenient feature. Available on the Santa Fe LIMITED, it’s essential for a perfect day of retail therapy.
Earns An “A” In Aerodynamics
The best designs offer tangible benefits that go beyond their good looks. Which is clearly the case with the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe Sport has a lower coefficient of drag than a Porsche Cayenne S or Range Rover Evoque. The advantage: A more aerodynamic design that can help improve MPG.
As The Wheels Turn
The standard 17-inch alloy wheels will generate plenty of traction, and compliments. If you’re ready to step things up, the available 19-inch alloy wheels are just the ticket.
Design Details
Dynamic side character lines add to the aerodynamic flow while design elements and chrome accents on the grille and door handles create a distinctly premium feeling. The standard rear spoiler and shark-fin antenna provide just the right finishing touches.
Three interior designs.
One goal.
As usual, our goal is to make sure you get what you want. And to make that happen, you need options. Select the 5-passenger Santa Fe Sport, the 7-passenger Santa Fe GLS or choose the Santa Fe LIMITED and get seating for 6 that includes two very luxurious captain’s chairs for the crew members lucky enough to pull second-row duty.
On A Mission To Pamper
Equipped with available features like a 12-way power driver seat, 8-inch touchscreen navigation and Infinity® Logic 7® premium audio system, the experience is something to look forward to at the end of a long day or the beginning of a long journey.

Seats That Are Less Shocking
All of the Santa Fe’s standard seats are covered in YES Essentials®* deluxe seat cloth, which is stain resistant. Plus this material has an antibacterial feature to control odors. The fabric also has innovative anti-static technology that helps disperse the electrostatic charge that builds up as you enter and exit the vehicle.
Audio Serenade
The available Infinity Logic 7 Surround Sound Audio System has 550 watts with 12 speakers. There are also inputs that let you connect an iPod®, iPhone® or other music sources via USB auxiliary input jacks.
Rearview Camera
This available feature lets you see what’s behind you before you back up. Select reverse and get a view of what’s behind the vehicle on either the 8-inch touchscreen or the 4.3-inch touchscreen color display. Helpful on-screen parking guides are available.
Dual Automatic Temperature Control
Some like it hot. Others prefer keeping it cool. Either way this available feature ends those front-seat climate conflicts by letting the driver and front seat passenger set and monitor temperatures separately.
Ready when you are.
It looks stunning in your driveway. It’s just more comfortable taking you to your next adventure. And doing so in the most resourceful way, as the Santa Fe delivers the perfect balance of horsepower and comfort.
The Overachieving Four
The standard 2.4L 4-cylinder engine is a high-tech wonder. It features Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) and Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) to deliver more standard horsepower and torque than Toyota RAV4 and Chevy Equinox.
V6 Power For Added Response
Available only on the three-row Santa Fe, the 3.3L V6 engine provides potent response. It creates an effortless flow of power and torque using advancements that include Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) and Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI).
Driver Selectable Steering Mode (DSSM)
Drivers enjoy a greater sense of control and satisfaction courtesy of Hyundai’s latest innovation, Driver Selectable Steering Mode (DSSM). Select one of its three operating modes—Comfort, Normal and Sport—and adapt the Santa Fe’s steering characteristics to a range of driving preferences.
Get Up And Go. Even Tow.
This sophisticated V6 generates 290 hp and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. So you’ll benefit from more V6 horsepower than the Toyota Highlander and Honda Pilot.* The standard trailer-prep package, with flush-mounted tow hitch design and 5,000 lbs. of towing capacity, can help put all of that power to good use.
The Smooth-shifting 6-speed Automatic
Every Santa Fe engine is mated to Hyundai’s 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®. Plus all models have the Active ECO System. With the push of a button, it improves the performance of the transmission to help you get more miles out of every gallon of gas.
Active ECO System
Extensive computer modeling and powertrain performance mapping was used to modify engine and transmission control, giving you improved real-world fuel economy—up to 7% based on internal tests.
A Boost Of Power And Torque
This 2.0L GDI 4-cylinder engine features a twin-scroll turbo that pumps out 264 hp and 269 lb.-ft. of torque.* Its highly advanced design helps improve combustion efficiency, and provide low-engine-speed efficiency.
Active Cornering Control AWD
The available Active Cornering Control AWD gives drivers improved traction and greater cornering capability in turns by transferring engine torque to the rear wheels and applying braking force to the inside rear wheel. The result is improved cornering performance.
Seven Airbags And More
With seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag, the Santa Fe has more standard airbags than the Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Edge and Toyota RAV4.
Vehicle Stability Management (VSM)
The Vehicle Stability Management system coordinates Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), plus the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) with Brake Assist (BA) to create an integrated active-safety system to help you avoid accidents.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
One of three elements in Santa Fe’s Vehicle Stability Management system, Electronic Stability Control uses sensors in the steering system and at each wheel to compare where you want to go with where the car is heading. If a difference between the two is detected, Electronic Stability Control slows the appropriate wheel to redirect the car and help keep you on course.
Traction Control System (TCS)
Working in tandem with ESC, TCS limits power and applies brakes to individual wheels to reduce the occurrence of wheelspin, and routes power to the wheel with the most traction.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
Emergency braking maneuvers can cause wheels to lock up and skid, resulting in a loss of steering control exactly when you need it most. Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent the possibility of wheel lockup under hard braking, and rapidly pulses the brakes to help you retain steering control as you come to a stop.
Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD)
Helping the driver maintain confident control in difficult braking situations, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) balances braking forces at each wheel of the vehicle depending on the weight of the passengers and cargo that the vehicle is carrying.
Ideas with benefits.
These features make getting around easy, engaging and more comfortable. Innovative thinking is everywhere, from the amazing fabric on the seats to the empowering dual-zone automatic temperature control with CleanAir Ionizer.
Help On The Hills
Offered as options or upgrades by some competitors, Santa Fe’s standard Hillstart Assist Control (HAC) minimizes backward roll when stopped on steep hills, while the Downhill Brake Control (DBC) helps you maintain control when you’re headed down steep hills.
Blue Link®
Hyundai’s innovative Blue Link telematics system is standard on Santa Fe and has an array of features to make your life easier. Connect to Blue Link through your smartphone, a web application or an in-car system to start your vehicle remotely, locate a gas station, find a shortcut, learn about mechanical issues, call for help and much more.
Proximity Key Entry With Push Button Start
Approach your Santa Fe with the available Proximity Key in your pocket and enjoy the ultimate convenience. No more fumbling with the key when you’ve got a key that enables your car to recognize you. Unlock or lock your car, start the engine with the push of a button and go.
Dual Automatic Temperature Control
Some like it hot. Others prefer keeping it cool. Either way this available feature ends those front-seat climate conflicts by letting the driver and front seat passenger set and monitor temperatures separately.
